Absolute efficiency ratings air purifier are almost impossible to find. Why hide these industry figures? What can you use as Guide to buying an air purifier?
For too long the industry's air purifier has sold products without to fully disclose the actual capabilities of these products. I am sorry to say, there are many air purifiers that are not worth buying. This result to fail in the most important measure of quality, the total efficiency of air purifier.
Consider an example. A small city depends on a dike to hold a rain swollen river. What if the dam is not big enough? And if it does not go far enough? And if she has a break somewhere? In all these cases, the city is not protected and all their confidence is misplaced.
Many have been brought to put confidence in a particular air filter. Is that confidence well placed? Or are there any deficiencies that marketing has not revealed?

The gold standard of air purification is the efficiency of HEPA filter. You will see HEPA air purifiers with pride that the market with 99.97% rating effective at 0.3 microns. This is both true and misleading.
That document efficiency is for the HEPA filter material, not the air purifier that uses it. In some HEPA air purifiers based as much as 40% to 50% of air entering the cleaner may actually bypass the filter. Reasons range from poor sealing of the filter housing, cracks in the filter material and the deliberate design to reduce the pressure against an engine below.
It was agreed that the cleaners air filter HEPA only provide the best air purification in general. However, it is absolutely essential to understand that the term HEPA do not assimilate the immediate confidence of the scrubber use it. You should consider any air purifier that you consider more critically.

Only then can we be sure that we get what we pay for.
